At some point in our lives, we’ve all wanted to escape to a fantasy world. I can’t count the number of times as a kid I wished to live in the world of Pokémon or a galaxy far, far away. Luckily, one of those worlds is a real possibility — or at least it will be very soon. I’m talking about the anticipated Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

We’ve known about this attraction for some time now, and have been waiting on pins and needles to see just when it would be open to the public. Luckily, Disney CEO Bob Iger brought the goods during a shareholders meeting earlier today, and the reporters over at THR got the inside scoop! According to them, we can expect the Anaheim attraction in Disneyland to open on May 31, 2019, and the Florida attraction in Walt Disney World Resort to open on August 29, 2019.

This Galaxy’s Edge world will be home to two anticipated experiences: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. In terms of that first ride, Iger went on to tout it as “the most technologically advanced and immersive attraction” the park has ever seen.
