Star Wars: Lucasfilm Staffing Up For New Animated Series After Star Wars Rebels

The end is near for the fan-favorite animated series Star Wars Rebels. When the series first premiered a few years back, fans weren’t quite sure what to think of it, but there’s no denying that it’s made its way into the hearts of many fans in the time it’s been out. It’ll be a bittersweet parting for many when the final episode airs this coming March.

However, even since last year, it’s been pretty clear that Lucasfilm wasn’t going to call it quits after this series. Star Wars Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni has stated that each generation of kids should have their own series, and it looks like they aren’t wasting any time.

Lucasfilm has posted a handful of job listings, with positions ranging from production coordinator to episodic director. Sadly, there are no details regarding the project (not that we would expect any details in a damn job listing), so we still have no idea what characters we could see or what era it will be covering. That being said, you can at least rest easy knowing that they’re hard at work making another animated series happen.

What era would you like to see another Star Wars animated series cover? What era could they possibly cover that would make for an interesting show? Let us know your thoughts down below!
