Star Wars: Stormtroopers Fly Now In New The Rise Of Skywalker Clip, Plus Retrospective Clip

Oh, man, we are SO. CLOSE. Less than a month left until we see the end of the new Star Wars Sequel Trilogy and the end of the nine-film Skywalker Saga. We’ve had a couple of trailers to feast on for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, as well as an unending amount of speculation and hating from certain fans waiting to see the film crash and burn. But either way, it’s coming, and I’ll be sitting my ass in theater to watch it.

As it gets closer to its release, you know we’ll be seeing more pieces of the movie, and the latest comes in the form of an actual clip, which sees our heroes running from a bunch of First Order Stormtroopers. The big twist? They fly now.

This marks the first time we’ve seen this in the films. While Mandalorians such as Boba Fett, Jango Fett, and a bunch of others from Disney+’s The Mandalorian have flown using jetpacks, this expansion is interesting.

In addition to that clip, Disney also released a featurette that shows the history of Star Wars and its passionate fandom, all in anticipation of the new film.
