Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Content for Star Wars Battlefront II Announcement

In the anticipation for the final episode with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, EA’s Star Wars Battlefront II will get you in the mood for the ultimate battle between good versus evil.

EA announced the new update to complement the release of the film will occur on December 17, two days before the theatrical release.

The update will also come with the new version of Star Wars Battlefront II called the Celebration Edition that’ll cost $39.99, which includes all the free updates along with instant access to such as the Clone Commando, BX Commando Droid, ARC Trooper and Droideka. Those with the standard edition can upgrade for $24.99.

The update for the Rise of Skywalker will include:

New Location – a brand new jungle planet that can be played in co-op mode and available as Heroes vs. Villains. The sequel era locations Takodana, Jakku and Starkiller Base will also join on the co-op rotation for attack and defend scenarios.

New Reinforcements – There will be new additional sequel era reinforcements deploy, including Infiltrator class Sith Trooper of the First Order and aerial reinforcement First Order Jet Trooper will support the dark side. On the Resistance, they will be supported by the new alien species from the Gunner and Spy units.

Hero Appearances – Of course, the main heroes inspired by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will all make their mark with Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren. They’ll be included with the owners of Star Wars Battlefront II – Celebration Edition or purchased with in-game credits or crystals.

In January of next year, two new capital ships will be introduced to defend with the MC85 of the Resistance and the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
