The infamous Winchester brothers are set to return for an impressive fourteenth season of Supernatural, a season that will put the show up over 300 episodes, which is a feat not many shows have pulled off. After the events of last season, with Dean Winchester being taken over by the archangel Michael, getting Dean back will likely be the main focus of his family and friends. In the above clip you can see Dean’s brother Sam doubting that he and his mother Mary will ever be able to rescue Dean.

While we don’t know when Dean will be back to his old self, we do know it’s inevitable. I expect Dean to be back before mid-season at the very latest. The show may straw from time to time but Supernatural will always return to what has been the driving force behind the show for nearly a decade and a half, two badass brothers, fighting things that go bump in the night.

One thing I hoped to be surprised with is the return of Sam and Dean’s father, John Winchester, who is played by the awesome Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Supernatural Season 14 premieres on the CW network October 11.
