The long-running CW series Supernatural will return for its fourteenth season next month. As most fans now know, Dean Winchester’s body has been taken over by the archangel Michael, Jack has lost his powers, and some hunters from the alternate earth have found their way over to ours. As always the Supernatural season is setup with problems from the get go, but I have a feeling Sam and Cass will find a way to save Dean.

One of the few dramas I watch that air on network television, I’ve been watching the show as it airs since Season 3.  Supernatural went on longer than most ever expected, including series creator Eric Kripke, who originally intended the show to end after five seasons, but this upcoming season will put the show over 300 episodes. I have always thought the writers of the show dug deep for the myth and the lore they put into the show, I especially love their meta episodes.

Hopefully, the writers are hard at work coming up with a fitting end for the two monster hunting brothers, they deserve it.

Season 14 of Supernatural premieres on October 14.
