‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ Clip Has Gabriel Luna’s Rev-9 In Pursuit

We are a little over a week away from the release of Paramount Pictures’ Terminator: Dark Fate directed by Tim Miller. This franchise has been trying to jump start itself back into relevancy ever since Terminator 2: Judgment Day was released back in 1991 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Edward Furlong, Linda Hamilton and Robert Patrick. The smash hit sequel was directed by James Cameron. Unfortunately the films after that have not been very good, the last two being Terminator Salvation and Terminator Genisys. So before the release of this next film, Paramount Pictures has released a new clip featuring a pursuit, check it out above!

It wouldn’t be a Terminator film with out the good guys being chased by a truck of some sort. The clip features Dani Ramos played by Natalia Reyes and her brother played by Diego Boneta racing away in a pick up truck along with Grace who is played by Mackenzie Davis. Grace is an enhanced super soldier from the future as most characters are in the Terminator films. In pursuit of them also from the future is a highly advanced new kind of Terminator, the Rev-9 played by Grabiel Luna. We get a chance to see some of this new Terminator’s abilities, as he is able to almost split into two robots allowing him to escape from the iron rods that Grace had thrown at him.

Here is the synopsis for Terminator: Dark Fate
More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator – a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) – travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani’s survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Sarah’s past that may be their last best hope.

We’ll see if the return of Hamilton to the film as well as Schwarzenegger will be enough to bring people to the theaters. Cameron has also returned to the franchise serving as a producer on the film.
