Boldly declaring that “Batman Returns,” the good folks at Warner Bros. Animation have released the trailer for Batman: Hush. The storyline is one of the most acclaimed Batman adventures to hit comics in the last couple of decades. The original ran from December of 2002 to November of 2003 and was written by Jeph Loeb, with artwork by Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair.
Set in the DC Animated Movie Universe, this is the 14th film in that series and sees the likes of Jason O’Mara, Jerry O’Connell, Rebecca Romijn and Rainn Wilson reprising their roles as Batman, Superman, Lois Lane and Lex Luthor, respectively. New to the mix is Maury Sterling, of Homeland fame, as the titular Hush.

Set against the backdrop of Gotham City, Batman finds himself becoming more drawn to Catwoman romantically, all the while a mysterious figure watches from the shadows. Seemingly ahead of Batman at every turn, Hush manipulates his allies and enemies in an attempt to break both the Dark Knight and Bruce Wayne.
The animated feature is directed by Justin Copeland, with writing by Ernie Altbacker. It is expected to drop in Q3 2019.
