The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs Theatrical Release Confirmed By Coen Brothers

The Coen brothers have brought forth some of cinema’s best gems, there’s a certain way about the story in a Coen brothers film, to describe it in short, it just feels like a Coen brothers movie. The siblings’ next project, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, has been confirmed to have been given a theatrical release by Netflix. While speaking with reporters at the Venice Film Festival Ethan Coen had this to say:

“Theatrical release was important to us, and they were happy to accommodate us. And I don’t even know if it was to accommodate us or their plans coincided with ours. It’s important to us that people who want to see it on a big screen are able to.”

For some, the theater experience is everything. For me, theater trips are reserved for Star Wars and superhero films mostly, a few other random films sneak in from time-to-time but for the most part, it’s only the big franchises I choose to watch in theaters. I enjoy most all of the Coen’s films, but I am much happier watching those sort of movies in the comfort of my own home.
