So far from what we can gather, The Batman from director Matt Reeves will feature a whole gallery of rogues for Robert Pattinson’s Batman to deal with. Rumor is that the movie’s main villain will be The Riddler, but that the likes of Catwoman, Firefly, and The Penguin will also feature. There have even been rumors of more villains in the movie and perhaps this latest rumor will add some weight to that.
According to The GWW they have heard from sources that BlackKklansman star John David Washington is wanted for a role in Reeves movie and they also add the character of Harvey Dent as the role they have heard he is wanted for. Readers will no doubt be aware that Harvey Dent starts out as a good guy and then eventually becomes the villain Two Face later on, a transformation done so spectacularly well in Nolan’s classic The Dark Knight.
Talking of Nolan, Washington (son of Denzel) is set to start in the upcoming Nolan movie Tenet, which will also feature Robert Pattinson (Batman). The outlet does say that no formal talks have taken place, but we would expect things to move quickly now that Pattinson has been cast to fill out the rest of the roster for this movie. It goes without saying that this is merely a rumor for now and may not pan out, even if WB/DC are looking at Washington for a role in the film.

Washington was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in BlackKklansman and is set to be thrust into the big time when he stars in Nolan’s Tenet soon. I have not had the chance to catch BlackKklansman as yet, so I have no real frame of reference to talk about Washington as an actor. However, I do like the idea of Harvey Dent being in this movie, not Two Face, just Harvey Dent in a non-antagonist role. After all, Reeves is apparently developing a full trilogy, so he will need to keep some villains back for later stories.
