In Sadie Katz’s remarkable journey in the documentary of The Bill Murray Experience, she came across Bill Murray’s co-star PJ Soles in Stripes.

PJ Soles starred as the love interest in the cult comedy Stripes, in which Soles developed a unique friendship with the whimsical comedian.

The Bill Murray Experience is a film in which actress/director Sadie Katz goes on a magical quest to meet comedian, legend, guru Bill Murray. After ending her engagement and finding herself at a loss for inspiration, Katz, finds herself up late at night searching the Internet. In her loneliness, she keeps clicking on stories of others having magical chance encounters with her favorite actor and life guru Bill Murray. Katz shares with the audience that she finds herself at a loss as to why she needs to meet Bill Murray, but that’s part of the intrigue and pleasure of knowing that secretly we all wish we had a little Murray Magic in our lives–which starts both Sadie and the audience on the quest of finding the unfindable and zany Bill Murray.

PJ Soles was one of the subjects interviewed for the documentary.

LRM sat down with PJ Soles in the suburbs of Los Angeles about her involvement into the documentary. We talked about on what she discussed with Sadie Katz and her past real-life experiences with Bill Murray.
