The Mandalorian: Nick Nolte’s Role Reportedly Revealed

For the past few weeks or so, we’ve been hearing some promising news regarding the cast of the upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Luckily, all these reports of a promising cast didn’t go to waste — as it turns out, every single report and rumor turned out to be absolutely true, which was great, considering the weird names being thrown around.

One such name was Nick Nolte. The man has been around for a long time, and while he’s been in his fair share of bad movies, I still tend to think of him as a serious actor, especially if you look at movies like Warrior. But what kind of role would he be taking on? The folks at Making Star Wars have us covered.

According to them, he will be playing a ugnaught. No, I didn’t just sneeze while typing on my keyboard. If you don’t know what that is then I’ll help fill you in. Ugnaughts are the same of those pig-looking dudes in The Empire Strikes Back in Cloud City.

Nolte won’t be doing motion performance, and in fact, he won’t be on set at all. The on-set performance will reportedly be done by a small woman wearing an animatronic mask. So it looks like Nolte will just be doing the character’s voice, and that he even performed his part in a few hours remotely from a linen closet.

Yeah, I know, this is an oddly-specific rumor, isn’t it? Anyway, don’t expect the actor to be playing an extensive role, if this is all true, but what do you think? Is this the kind of role you were expecting from Nolte? Let us know your thoughts down below!
