The Predator Final Trailer Is A Delightfully Fun Gore-Fest

“F**kin’ A!”

Those were the words I said aloud to myself the second the trailer ended for Shane Black’s upcoming film The Predator. Now, keep in mind, as much as I’d wanted to like what we’ve seen from the film in the past, there wasn’t anything that actually convinced me that we had anything else to see from this dormant franchise. I have now been convinced that this movie could be one hell of a thrill ride, and I’ll be damned if I don’t see it in theaters next month.

In this trailer, we get introduced to our leading cast — a bus full of insane badasses. While I couldn’t tell you their names, they did a great job of at least giving us an idea of the types of characters we’ll be dealing with, and it made the prospect of dipping back into the world of Predator all the more fun. Add in Shane Black’s sense of humor, a nice layer of gore, and you have a recipe for awesomeness.

If I have one criticism (and I know you’re all dying to hear it), it’s that they shouldn’t have shown the flashbacks of the main character when he said he dealt with an alien. The reveal of the Predator would have been much stronger if it had been when it first crosses paths with the bus.
