The Walking Dead: Lauren Cohan May Have Spoiled Maggie’s Fate

While AMC’s The Walking Dead has certainly dropped in the rankings of great shows currently on television, many of us have years invested in the show, and are set to stick it out till the end. As most fans know, both Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie and Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes, are leaving the show at some point during the season. Will their exits be final?
In speaking with the Associated Press, Cohan may have dropped a spoiler in reference to Maggie’s fate. The actress called the ability to return to the show, “a gift” and continued with the following.

“There’s a chance for me to still explore the Maggie character and it’s going to be fun to see if that can be done.”

If what she says is true and stays as it is, then Maggie won’t meet her end when she exits the show. I think it’s smart to keep both Maggie and Rick alive for this exact reason, it leaves a possibility for the actors to reprise their roles, killing them off, well permanently ends that possibility. Although, who knows how much longer the show will last anyway. It may all be for naught, but having these beloved characters in your back pocket to use again is definitely a card the show-runners want to be able to play.

How do you think Maggie (and Rick) will go out in The Walking Dead? Let us know in the comments down below!
