There Will NOT Be Hybrid Dinosaurs In Jurassic World 3

Jurassic World had the towering Indominus Rex, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has the  terrifying Indoraptor, And Jurassic World 3 will have… well… normal dinosaurs, I suppose. Well, as normal as they were portrayed in Jurassic Park, which is still highly inaccurate (but it doesn’t matter, it’s fun).

Colin Trevorrow, director of Jurassic World and co-writer on Fallen Kingdom, as well as the co-writer and director on 2021’s Jurassic World 3, told Total Film:

“I’m looking forward to, in the third film, getting a little back into the Paleontological, wild animal, true dinosaur nature of all of it.”

Trevorrow recently said JW3 was a “science thriller” comparing it to 1993’s Jurassic Park, with a “back to basics” approach. The Indoraptor is officially the final hybrid dinosaur in the current trilogy.

Which does raise the question, what the hell is Jurassic World 3 about? I thought this trilogy was slowly leading us towards actually seeing Raptors or hybrids on the battlefield — which I would rather not see, anyway. It seemed as though using Hybrids as weapons was the whole point of this planned trilogy, but it is nice if Trevorrow is truly bringing the franchise back to its roots. If he can…
