Thor: Ragnarok – Jeff Goldblum Is Darryl’s Roommate In Clip From New Short

On the heels of Captain America: Civil War, audiences couldn’t help but wonder just what in the hell Thor was up to while most of the Avengers were duking it out on the big screen. Marvel Studios was all too happy to give us a fun, non-canon answer in the funny mockumentary-style short, “Team Thor.”

The short featured the god of thunder rolling around Australia. What’s more is that he moved in with a new roommate named Darryl. It was just a few minutes long, but it really gave us a sillier side of Thor that we hadn’t seen in the films, and it gave us our first taste of what to expect in Thor: Ragnarok.

Now, Darryl is back in a new short, set to be released alongside Thor: Ragnarok‘s home release. USA Today has the exclusive clip, except it’s not Thor who Darryl is with anymore.

That’s right. Instead of Thor, Darryl is now bunking with Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster. Like with “Team Thor,” “Team Darryl” shows an equally out-of-place alien trying to live a normal life on Earth — in this case, Los Angeles.

Sadly, we only have a one-minute clip of the short, so if you want to check out the whole thing, you’ll have to shell out 20 or so bucks for the digital or Blu-ray release of Thor: Ragnarok. This clip isn’t a huge surprise. Months ago, Goldblum teased this short to audiences, though it’s just nice to see them continue to have fun in this world. However, against our wishes, it’s likely this clip also doesn’t take place in the MCU canon.
