Tolkien: Cast and Crew Talks About What the Famed Author Means to Them

J.R.R. Tolkien is the father of fantasy stories.

The famed author has influenced countless fantasy authors, directors and screenwriters over decades with his The Lord of the Rings series.

Tolkien is the biopic movie that tells the story of a young student as he navigates his life with his fellow friends, romance and a world war. His early life later influenced him to write the classic fantasy novels The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

The film stars Nicholas Hoult, Lily Collins, Anthony Boyle, Tom Glynn-Carney and Craig Roberts. It is directed by Dome Karukoski and written by David Gleeson and Stephen Beresford.

LRM Online was on the red carpet for a premiere of the film in Westwood. Calif. We caught up with cast, crew and guests on the carpet to talk about Tolkien movie. We’ve interviewed actor Nicholas Hoult, director Dome Karukoski, writer David Gleeson, cinematographer Lasse Frank Johannessen and guests George R.R. Martin and Ty Simpkins.
