In the fantastic opening to Avengers: Infinity War fans lost a veteran of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Loki. The adopted brother of Thor had the life squeezed out of him by the mighty Thanos within the first few minutes of the film. While Loki hasn’t always made choices that would put him on the good side of things, his last moments were admirable, attempting to take out Thanos himself, and save, well, about half the universe.
Unfortunately for Loki, Thanos was on to him. Thanos blocked the attempt to stab him, and crushed Loki’s larynx with a twist of his wrist. Tom Hiddleston, who has brilliantly portrayed Loki during his time in the MCU recently spoke during an appearance at ACE Comic Con, and stated in his eyes, Loki has been redeemed.
“I think the first film really humanizes him and I think makes the rest of the journey interesting, It makes you always think that he could be pulled back and redeemed. And in my opinion, he is redeemed in Infinity War.”

Whether you agree that Loki was redeemed or not, it takes a brave man to try to kill Thanos is that situation. Sure, he tried to take over Earth once, but if you had the power to do so, are you telling me you wouldn’t take a shot at it? I can’t really blame the guy for trying. While we have seen Loki seemingly come back from the dead on more than one occasion, it seems unlikely he will be returning this time. I say he went out like a hero.
