Toy Story 4’s Forky To Get Spinoff On Disney+

Netflix better keep a close eye on the House of Mouse, as the company seems to be coming strong with the content on Disney+. While Toy Story 4 has debuted to 100% score on RottenTomatoes (which while impressive, isn’t really a surprise, read all about it in the RELATED section below.), it appears as if we’ll be getting a Toy Story spinoff starring one of the newer characters in Forky, who is voiced by Arrested Development‘s Tony Hale.

At the Toy Story 4 press conference the question of Toy Story being explored on Disney+ was asked, and Mark Nielson brought good news in the form of the following below.

“Yeah, I mean right now I’m producing some short films for Disney+, which star Forky.”

Tony Hale also spoke with The Playlist, and gave his thoughts on what to expect from the Forky series, and why he loves the character. You can check it out below.

“It’s like a web series. Which I love, that he just unashamedly asked all these questions constantly. It’ll start with a question where he’ll say, ‘Dah, Dah, Dah, Dah, Dah, Dah.’ And then another character from Toy Story,’ will kind of help him explore what this is. That’s what’s so great about him, Forky’s just full of wonder and curiosity and doesn’t get the rules of the universe and all that stuff.”

With Disney charging half the price of Netflix, and the properties they have access to, Disney will very quickly make itself a force to be reckoned with in the streaming world. While Netflix does have some really good original content, it’s hard to beat Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar.
