The film follows a mom and her teenage son as they vacation at a relative’s vacation home following the death of her husband. When they do so, “eerie and unexplained forces conspire against them.”

In the trailer, it’s not entirely just what in the world is conspiring against them. Weird things start to happen when the son hears some banging from underneath the floor, only for the police to dismiss the possibility that anything is in the house.

Of course, the neighbors aren’t too normal. Their overly-friendly nature is creepy and off-putting, and someone seems to be running around with a camera, taking photos of them in their sleep. Something is off, and the mystery seems to be revolving around the questions behind it all.

What do you think of this new trailer? Is it intriguing enough to check out next year, or do you wish it revealed even the slightest bit more information? Let us know what you think down below!

The Open House hits Netflix on January 19, 2018.
