Trailer For Star Trek-Inspired Black Mirror Episode Hits

The Netflix sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror is set to return soon and with that Netflix has been releasing individual trailers for the episodes. The most recent one, released today, is for the episode titled “USS Callister.”

The episode, which follows a space crew, definitely has an Orville type feel to it and shows more potential for comedy than Black Mirror fans are used to seeing. The episode also seems like its going to be more fun than most. All of this is likely just to dull our senses, making the inevitable twist hit us that much harder.

Being someone who didn’t get into Black Mirror until recently, I was able to binge the show. I was taken back by the show’s similarity in tone to the old Twilight Zone series.

Sure, there have been shows similar to The Twilight Zone before, but in my opinion none of them come as close to the feel of, and have the story quality of Black Mirror. If you’re a fan of the Twilight Zone, I recommend giving it a try, start with “White Rabbit”, its a good one.

While it shouldn’t be too much longer, a premiere date for Season 4 of the show still hasn’t been released.
