Trailer Hits For Patty Jenkins’ And Chris Pine’s New Series I Am The Night

Apparently, Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and actor Chris Pine have been pretty busy since their work on Wonder Woman. The pair has an upcoming TNT limited series called I Am the Night headed our way, and it looks like the kind of show that would make David Fincher proud.

The series likes to be of the dark and investigative persuasion, following a girl named Fauna Hodel, who is in search of answers to her past. From the looks of the trailer, the secrets that have eluded her her whole life somehow intertwine with something much darker than she could have ever imagined — the Black Dahlia murder.

Below is the official synopsis for I Am the Night:

“From executive producer Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman), I Am the Night tells the incredible story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley) who was given away at birth. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery. Chris Pine plays Jay Singletary, a former Marine-turned-hack-reporter/paparazzo.”

I have to say, in terms of plot, I’m still entirely sure how this will all connect, but I guess that’s all kind of the point, isn’t it? If nothing else, they’ve certainly intrigued me. What about you? What do you think of the trailer for I Am the Night? Sound off down below!
