The end of Venom wasn’t very subtle. At the tail-end of it all, we saw Woody Harrelson sporting a wig even worse than the one in The Hunger Games — this time sporting some curly red hair, pretty much confirming his role as Cletus Kasady, better known by the name Carnage. With that, all signs pointed to this guy being the main villain of the next movie.

But, it looks like he won’t be alone. Deadline is reporting that, according to two separate sources, Venom 2 will be adding Shriek to the mix. Given the character’s sound-manipulation abilities, her absolute craziness, and her romantic involvement with Cletus, it makes perfect sense that she’d be incorporated into the story.

There is no word on how she will be used in the story, but I can imagine her simply being utilized as a secondary antagonist to Venom. 

The production is currently in the process of casting, and while we may ultimately see a familiar face take the role, they seem to be casting a wide net, “looking mostly at unknowns right now,” as one source states.
