Venom Trailer Likely To Hit Within Two Weeks

Sony’s certainly going fast and furious with their Venom film. While the movie only recently ended its production, it looks like we’ll be getting an actual trailer for the film sooner rather than later.

The folks over at Trailer-Track noticed that the Manitoba Film Classification Board has rated the first trailer for the anticipated Spider-Man spinoff. With that in mind, the trailer is expected to drop within the next couple weeks, which makes sense, since it’ll allow it to play in front of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, which hits theaters in the U.S. on February 16, 2018.

Given that this Venom exists in the same world as Tom Holland’s Peter Parker (and, by extension, the MCU), it’s a smart and logical move from Sony to capitalize as much as possible on that existing universe.

Venom stars Tom Hardy in the role of Eddie Brock, and also features actors Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, and Woody Harrelson. Little is known about the plot of the film, but we do know that it’s based on the two comic runs, Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes, so take from that what you will.

One promising rumor that’s been circulating in recent weeks is that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will also be appearing in the film. This is especially comforting, since fans know that there really is no Venom without Spider-Man, and having Venom exist without Spidey would ultimately take a lot away from the character.
