Good news, Veronica Mars fans. It looks like the impending Veronica Mars limited series reboot over at Hulu will have another key character returning to the show. That key character is none other than Keith Mars father to the titular Veronica Mars and head of Mars Investigations.

Keith has been played by the wonderful Enrico Colantoni in both the original series on UPN and The CW and the follow-up film back in 2014. Now, Deadline reports he will be back for this new venture with Hulu. As stated above, this will be a limited series consisting of eight, hour-long episodes, which is probably the ideal format for a show like this.

As great as it was returning for that film, there is something lost in translation when accustomed to season-long mysteries interspersed with episodic mysteries. With this limited format, it allows them to retain that convolution present in the original series without stretching things too thin.

This latest mystery will see spring breakers getting murdered in Neptune, destroying the tourism in the town. Of course, Mars Investigations is hired to find the killer of one of the spring breakers, and this sets them on the road to another bloody escapade.
