Vincent D’Onofrio Thinks Playing Kingpin In A Spider-Man Movie Would Be Astonishing

For me, one of the greatest Marvel villains to come out of the MCU is Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio in all three seasons of Daredevil on Netflix. Kingpin was a huge overarching villain for many heroes in the comic books and one in particular was Spider-Man. I still love the old 90’s Amazing Spider-Man cartoon series and in that Kingpin was mostly the real main villain behind most of the events which Spider-Man has to battle against.

Now that Daredevil is finished, for now anyway, would it be possible for this version of Kingpin to appear as a villain for Spider-Man, Daredevil and other characters going forward in the MCU? The actor Vincent D’Onofrio certainly seems to been keen on playing a Spider-Man villain and he responded on social media to say so, check it out.

Now, giving where Kingpin last left off, it would take some explaining to bring him back, again, and in a movie, however, who knows once Daredevil is again able to be used by Marvel? If Marvel decided to bring back Daredevil on Hulu or a toned down version on Disney +, then they could well decide to use that character as a looming threat within the movies as well. Personally I love D’Onofrio as Kingpin, so I’m in if they decide to keep using him going forward for sure. I guess time will tell, but we know it’s at least 1.5 years before it’s possible for us to see Kingpin appear again anywhere other than Netflix, due to an exclusivity deal.
