Who Is The Villain In Cobra Kai – Johnny or Daniel?

Who do you think is the villain in Cobra Kai? William Zabka and Ralph Macchio offer their thoughts in a new video published by Netflix on YouTube. They debate between five scenes as to who is actually the bad guy between their respective characters Johnny Lawrence and Daniel Larusso. The first two scenes under review are from The Karate Kid. Followed by three scenes from Cobra Kai.

Who’s the real winner?

The real winner is ultimately us. In six minutes you can tell these two enjoy the debate which adds a layer of fun to the whole proceedings. They both have a great understanding of the character they play. In the video, you can tell they enjoy trying to settle this question for all of us. As they discuss the scenes each takes stabs at the other’s character. Each star has time to add a rebuttal.

Is a winner declared?

If you watched the YouTube video then you know Zabka and Macchio both agree on how it should end. The decision may not land where you think or even agree with. Their decision might seem like a cop-out, but if you have seen Cobra Kai it makes sense. Zabka makes one of the more interesting points during the final clip about why Johnny Lawrence might be seen as a villain.
