According to The Wrap, the producers for the upcoming CBS television series Supergirl, based on the DC Comics character, are looking at another primetime drama for their lead. Amongst the actresses being considered for the role is Claire Holt, known for her work on the CW’s Vampire Diaries as well as its spinoff The Originals.

The series has Greg Berlanti (Arrow and The Flash) and Ali Adler (Chuck, No Ordinary Family) on as writers, and will be part of a growing landscape of disconnected DC TV properties.

The Wrap is quick to point out that the actress is merely one of several testing for the part. Honestly, she looks like a long shot if you ask me. She’s just too busy, considering she’s also set to co-star in the NBC Charles Manson series Aquarius.
