Oh internet, How I hate thee so. Sometimes… Teasers for trailers are nothing new, unfortunately, and they are a little less annoying than the teaser of a trailer built into the beginning of a trailer, but still… 24 seconds of footage just to get some clicks on social media? Whatever.
In the above teaser, we get shots of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman using her superpowers, including that Flash equivalent speed she shouldn’t have, and her golden lasso that provided one of the worst scenes in Justice League. You know the one. It also looks like she’ll be able to grab lightning with her lasso, which… well… come on now, you can only suspend belief so much right? Maybe I am being too harsh. The first film is considered to be the best thing the DCEU has, although I think (as do many others) that Chris Pine carried that movie due to Gadot’s subpar acting ability, so it’s going to be interesting to see how this one fares. Pine is set to return, though no one knows how considering he dies in the first film.
Wonder Woman 84 hits theaters June 5th, 2020.
