World War Z 2 Delayed For Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

It looks like World War Z 2 has hit another speed bump. Like its predecessor, it seems like the movie is going to face another delay. In the wake of Tarantino landing Brad Pitt for his upcoming film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, it sounds like there was a casualty.

According to Variety film reporter Justin Kroll, World War Z 2 had to get pushed in order to make room on Pitt’s schedule to shoot Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

While this is great news for Tarantino fans, it’s bad news for David Fincher fans who were hoping to see another re-team between him and Pitt anytime soon. Of course, that doesn’t mean World War Z 2 is off the table. It’s possible that once Hollywood is in the can, that he’ll move on to Z 2, but in this business, the more a film gets delayed, the less likely it seems like it’ll happen.

On the other hand, given all the reshoot drama behind the first film, it’s understandable the studio and Fincher will want to take all the time they can to tweak that script. Perhaps with a few extra months, they can make it as perfect as it can be.
