You Can Now Read The Chosen One Prophecy For Yourself

The fabled Star Wars prophecy of the chosen one that would bring balance to the Force, a prophecy that Master Yoda said could have been misread, and likely has been. Fans have been debating, or more accurately arguing over this issue for years and likely will continue to do so.

Having said that, Master & Apprentice, a new Star Wars novel by author Claudia Gray, which is the first novel of canon that predates Phantom Menace, has revealed the complete prophecy, you can see it in all its glory below.

“A Chosen One shall come, born of no father, and through him will ultimate balance in the Force be restored.”

So does this exclude Rey from being the chosen one? Not necessarily, while it clearly say “him,” as Yoda said the prophecy could have been misread, and with all ancient writings it’s possible parts of it were lost in translation or changed.

Of course before Rey there were really two sides of this debate, Anakin or Luke, with good points on both sides, nerds would go round-and-round on the subject. I have always thought that bringing balance to the Force would mean leaving an equal amount of Jedi/Lightside Force Users and Sith/Darkside Force users, not eliminating the darkside all together, as some fans believe.
