Now that BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is practically in theaters, the attention of fans is going to shift towards the highly anticipated JUSTICE LEAGUE. In a chat with Collider, Zack Snyder- who will once again be at the helm- spoke a bit about what that film might be called. Would it be simply JUSTICE LEAGUE? Or perhaps JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA? What about JUSTICE LEAGUE: DAWN OF A DOZEN DC MOVIES?

For now, Snyder says that they’re working simply under the working title JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Right now the working title is Justice League. Actually, I’m in that phase where I’ve been drawing logos and I’ve been drawing title treatments and stuff like that to try and figure out what it means, what Justice League is, visually, so we’ll see if the name evolves with this visual presentation.

Snyder famously works from a very visual-driven perspective. He spoke a bit about what it was like to create the official logo for BATMAN V SUPERMAN, which is something he’s working on now for JUSTICE LEAGUE:

“The Batman v Superman logo I drew so long ago. I know there’s versions of it that existed anyway, but that one in particular I [drew]. The thing that’s kinda cool about the Batman suit [and] our Batman logo is that the dimension is the same as the Man of Steel logo, the bottom of the bat. So I said, ‘No, it’s cool. It’s okay. It’s mythologically okay.'”

The director also spoke about how the production for JUSTICE LEAGUE should run a little more smoothly than BATMAN V SUPERMAN. Production on the latter was pretty long, and was mired by a sizable delay so that Snyder and his team could re-tool the film in order to make it a better springboard for future DC movies. He expects an easier ride this time.

“The schedule’s close, it’s not quite as long, but give or take. We have a more efficient machine in England because we have a big backlot that we built for Gotham and Metropolis, so it’ll be easier to photograph than when you have to close down streets. But it’s a beautiful backlot.”

JUSTICE LEAGUE, which will be the first of a two-part saga, is slated to come out on November 17, 2017.
