Zombie Flick, Train To Busan, To Get A Sequel!

Who doesn’t love zombies? The flesh-eating creatures, of previous human form, are a staple in the horror genre. From Romeo’s Night of the Living Dead to Zombieland the undead have entertained us for decades!

Back in 2016 Train to Busan hit the scene and gave us an amazing zombie flick filled with great visuals and a sense of claustrophobia not unlike that from the Resident Evil games.

This movie met all the requirements of a great zombie film but also provided entertainment and suspense on the level of 2006’s The Host.

Now we know that a sequel is in the works, possibly with the title Peninsula. Train to Busan Director Yeon Sang Ho recently said (via AllKPop):

“We are planning to begin filming in the first half of next year. We still have not cast any actors, so we are still preparing a lot of different things.”

The end of the first movie saw survivors of the titular train meeting soldiers ready to defend against zombies. This obviously set up the potential of a sequel. We all wondered what happened to the undead after the survivors switched trains and headed to Busan.

I am excited for this. I loved the first movie, and zombie films in general. How do you feel though? Did you like the first one? What do you think of a sequel? Where would you take this movie? Tell us below in the comments.
