Warner Brothers Sets Up Trademarks for More ‘Harry Potter’
Warner Brothers had trademarked “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them†after J.K. Rowling’s announcement to write the screenplay.
However, WB also trademarked the book “Tales of Beedle The Bard†and mini-book “Quidditch Through The Ages.â€
But, there’s more.
The studio also trademarked Newt Scamander, the fictitious author of “Fantastic Beasts. And the Quidditch teams of Wimbourne Wasps, Chudley Cannons and Kenmare Kestrels. And finally, even the Quidditch expert Kennilworthy Whisp is also trademarked.
With eight “Harry Potter†films and over $7.7 billion in worldwide receipts, WB is still digging for more gold in this lovable franchise.
