Apple TV+ Releases ‘Lady In The Lake’ Trailer

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for “Lady in the Lake,” a seven-part limited series featuring Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Natalie Portman and Emmy nominee Moses Ingram. The series is set to premiere globally on Apple TV+ on July 19, 2024, with the first two episodes available for streaming. Subsequent episodes will be released every Friday until August 23, 2024.

Set in Baltimore during Thanksgiving 1966, “Lady in the Lake” follows the intertwined fates of two women amidst the turmoil of a young girl’s disappearance. Portman plays Maddie Schwartz, a Jewish housewife determined to leave behind her secretive past and reinvent herself as an investigative journalist. Ingram portrays Cleo Johnson, a mother striving to navigate the political landscape of Black Baltimore while providing for her family. Initially on separate paths, their lives collide when Maddie becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth behind Cleo’s mysterious death, leading to dangerous consequences for those around them.

Directed by Alma Har’el, the series is a feverish noir thriller that delves into the sacrifices women make for their dreams. Alongside Portman and Ingram, the cast includes Y’lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, Noah Jupe, Josiah Cross, Mikey Madison, and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
