I don’t know about you, but I’m personally counting down the days until we get to see CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR in theaters (right now we’re at 98 days). Everything Marvel has been showing us about this movie has been stellar thus far, and there’s something pretty magical about seeing our favorite heroes duke it out on the big screen after being buddies for more than ten films. It’s a scenario that I dreamed of seeing in the 90s, but knew would never come. But the joke’s on me, because the time has come, and it’s as beautiful as I’ve ever seen.
Now, thanks to the folks over at Iron Studios, we have a new piece of concept art for your viewing pleasure. Check it out below!
There isn’t really a whole lot that’s new here, unfortunately. The one thing I can pull from here is an extra confirmation that War Machine has a melee weapon of sorts, which is pretty awesome. But again, that’s nothing new. That being said, I can’t deny that it looks pretty darncool seeing all these guys in action, and it’s great to see Ant-Man up-close. I hope we get to see him do big things in the flick.
The official synopsis is as follows:
“Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War†finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.”
