Madden NFL 26 Super Bowl LX Simulation Predicts A Classic Finish

EA SPORTS has unveiled its official Madden NFL 26 Super Bowl LX simulation, and if the virtual gridiron is any indication, fans could be in for a nail-biter. According to the long-running Madden tradition, the Seattle Seahawks are projected to defeat the New England Patriots by a score of 23–20 margin in the season’s biggest game.

The Madden Super Bowl simulation has become a cultural touchstone for NFL fans, and EA SPORTS is quick to point out that this year’s prediction is powered by the most advanced tech the franchise has ever used. Built on nearly a decade of real NFL data and insights drawn from billions of games played by the Madden community each year, the Madden NFL 26 simulation goes far beyond a final score, offering a play-by-play vision of how Super Bowl LX could unfold.

Notably, the last time the Seahawks and Patriots met in a Super Bowl, Madden correctly predicted New England’s 28–24 victory. More than a decade later, the virtual rematch once again has fans buzzing.

Seahawks Take It at the Wire

In the simulation, Seattle walks away with the Lombardi Trophy behind a clutch performance from quarterback Sam Darnold, who earns Super Bowl LX MVP honors. Darnold finishes with 289 passing yards, completing 26 of 36 attempts, throwing two touchdowns with no interceptions, and leading a game-winning drive in the final seconds.

Key offensive standouts for Seattle include:

  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who hauls in six catches for 84 yards and a touchdown
  • Kenneth Walker III, who totals 76 rushing yards on 19 carries, adds 41 receiving yards, and scores the decisive walk-off touchdown as time expires

For New England, Kayshon Boutte shines with five receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown, while cornerback Christian Gonzalez delivers one of the game’s biggest momentum swings by scooping up a Seattle fumble and returning it for a score.

How the Game Unfolds

The simulation paints a dramatic arc familiar to fans of both franchises. Seattle wins the coin toss and strikes first, with Darnold connecting with Smith-Njigba for the opening touchdown. A second-quarter score to Cooper Kupp helps the Seahawks take a 14–3 lead into halftime.

New England rallies after the break. Rookie quarterback Drake Maye finds Boutte in the end zone, and Gonzalez’s defensive touchdown propels the Patriots into a fourth-quarter lead. But with just 42 seconds left, the Patriots are forced to punt, setting the stage for one final Seattle drive.

Rather than settling for a game-tying field goal, the Seahawks roll the dice. From inside the five-yard line, Darnold hands off to Walker, who stretches across the goal line for a walk-off touchdown — a poetic echo of the teams’ infamous Super Bowl history.

By the Numbers

  • Final Score: Seahawks 23, Patriots 20
  • Sacks: Seattle 4, New England 3
  • Turnovers: One forced fumble returned for a Patriots touchdown
  • Top Tacklers: Ernest Jones IV (Seahawks) with nine tackles; Carlton Davis III (Patriots) with eight
  • Field Goals: Jason Myers and Andres Borregales both go 2-for-2

“Every day, fans play up to 23,000 NFL seasons in Madden NFL, with more than 2 billion games played in a given year,” said Evan Dexter, VP of Franchise Strategy and Marketing at EA SPORTS. “Millions of fans wait for Madden to make the call, since our prediction is the only one that matters.”

Fans Can Run It Themselves

Fans eager to test alternate realities won’t have to wait long. Starting February 5, players can create their own Super Bowl simulations in EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 26 via EA Play, giving members unlimited access to the game just in time for Super Bowl weekend.

Whether Madden’s crystal ball proves accurate once again remains to be seen — but if this simulation is right, Seahawks fans may want to prepare for another heart-stopping Super Bowl finish.
