Top 3 From DC
1. Batman Arkham Knight Genesis #2
Price: $2.99
Art: Alison Borgey
Cover: Stjepan Sejic
Writer: Peter J. Tomasi
– If you are a fan of the game like me then you will love this comic. This story continues on the journey of how Jason Todd became the Arkham Knight and the events leading up to where the game starts. After reading the first issue the direction of the story shows you the build of hatred Jason has towards Bruce plus the training to become Robin.
2. Doctor Fate #4
Price: $2.99
Art: Sonny Liew
Cover: Sonny Liew
Writer: Paul Levitz
One of the stronger stories to come out recently by DC Comics. Watching the struggles that Kent Nassor, a medical student, has becoming the new Dr. Fate. What I love about this story so far is this is a true origin story where a regular person must figure how to be hero without an instruction manual or another superhero mentoring Kent.
3. Superman/Wonder Woman #21
Price: $3.99
Art: Jamie Mendoza, Doug Mahnke
Cover: Paulo Sigueira
Variant: Joseph A. Quinones Jr.
Writer: Peter J. Tomasi
Whenever we have Superman and Wonder Woman team up it always seems to be Superman as the alpha in the group but now roles have reversed. With Supermans identity outed and weakened powers it is now up to Diana to lead the power couple. Within the last couple of issues we have seen Superman struggle to be in this new position. It will be interesting to see how Diana and Clark continue this relationship.
Top 3 from Marvel
1. Captain America: White #1
Price: $4.99
Art: Tim Sale
Cover: Tim Sale
Writer: Jeph Loeb
To put this comic at the top of your list all you have to do is look at the combo of Tim Sale and Jeph Loeb. The two together have won the Eisner Award. Put that together along with the partnership of Captain America and Bucky Barnes how can you go wrong. This comic sets up the stage for reliving some of Cap’s greatest stories from World War II
2. Spider-Verse #5
Price: $3.99
Art: Andre Araujo
Cover: Andre Araujo
Writer: Mike Costa
The phenomenon of Spider-Gwen continues in this new story putting the Spider-men up against Mayor Norman Osborne. This story shows us Spider-Gwen as the leader. This will be Spider-Gwen’s most difficult match of her short career so far.
3. Star Wars #9
Price $3.99
Art: Stuart Immonen
Cover: Stuart Immonen
Writer: Jason Aaron
Three words: Luke, Han, Leia. Enough said. With Episode 7 coming out in December and the Star Wars timeline reset, every new story is important to keep up with every issue. Keeping up with the original characters along with introducing new characters it is valuable to keep up with every issue.

If you haven’t read an issue of Invincible then you are missing out. From the creative mind that brought you “The Walking Dead†takes a totally different approach to a superhero’s life. The story of Invincible chronicles the life of Mark Grayson who is a superhero and so is his father. Mark must balance his superhero life and family life. We were last left off with Mark having to adjust of a new peaceful life but something tells me this won’t last long.
