Disney has released the official trailer for the highly anticipated four-part finale event of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, offering fans their first look at the long-awaited returns of Harper Finkle and Mason Greyback as the magical adventure reaches its conclusion.
The finale event is set to premiere with a four-episode marathon on Tuesday, Aug. 4, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EDT/PDTon Disney Channel and Disney Channel On Demand. All four episodes will then be available to stream the following day, Wednesday, Aug. 5, on Disney+ in the United States and select international markets.
The newly released trailer teases an emotional and action-packed ending following the dramatic conclusion of Season 2. Billie is still struggling with Alex Russo’s disappearance and discovers that rescuing her mother will require tracking down her long-lost father. As the Russo family reunites in an effort to find Alex, they realize that only by combining their magical abilities can they stand against the growing evil threatening their family.
One of the biggest highlights of the finale is the return of two beloved characters from the original Wizards of Waverly Place series. Jennifer Stone reprises her role as Harper Finkle, Alex Russo’s loyal best friend, while Gregg Sulkin returns as Mason Greyback, the fan-favorite werewolf and Alex’s longtime love interest.

The finale also marks a major milestone for Selena Gomez. Previously announced as an executive producer on the series, Gomez makes her directorial debut by helming the premiere episode of the finale event. She will also return on-screen in multiple episodes as Alex Russo, a role that helped launch her career.
David Henrie returns as Justin Russo alongside series regulars Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, Taylor Cora as Winter and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo.
The guest cast also expands with Brandon Micheal Hall joining the series as Damien Penwulf, Billie’s father. He joins returning guest stars Jennifer Stone, Gregg Sulkin, Maria Canals-Barrera as Theresa Russo, Ramon Reed as Silas Evilini and Tobias Jelinek as Lord Morsus.
Behind the scenes, Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas continue as writers and executive producers alongside Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Rick Williams, Selena Gomez and David Henrie. The original Wizards of Waverly Place was created by Todd Greenwald.
Originally airing from 2007 through 2012, Wizards of Waverly Place followed siblings Alex, Justin and Max Russo as they balanced everyday teenage life with magical training while competing to become the family’s sole wizard. The revival series has successfully introduced the franchise to a new generation while reconnecting longtime fans with the Russo family.
According to Disney, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place has become a strong performer for the company since its debut, generating more than 101 million views on the Disney Channel YouTube channel and ranking among the platform’s top streaming titles across multiple youth and young adult demographics during its launch.
Fans looking to catch up before the finale can stream the complete first and second seasons of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place now on Disney+, ahead of the four-part conclusion arriving in early August.
