It won’t be long now and Deadpool and his big screen antics will be back to entertain us once again. With the film’s final trailer dropping yesterday, the stage is now set. The film’s advanced ticket sales are already raking in the cash, breaking records at Regal Cinemas. It only took Deadpool 2 four hours to double the theater chain’s previous 24-hour mark, and the film also broke Regal’s record for an R-rated film.
Chief Marketing Officer at Regal, Ken Thewes,
“We are on the edge of our seats to see what Ryan Reynolds and his team have planned for Deadpool 2. With the 24-hour advance ticket record shattered, moviegoers seem just as excited as we are to see our favorite anti-hero back on the big screen. With tickets now on sale, we will continue to add seats to accommodate the demand.”

These early ticket sales point to a repeat box office performance for the sequel. The original film was a massive success, both critically and financially, pulling in over $780 million dollars on a budget that was just under $60 million. If you are one of those fans on which Deadpool’s schtick quickly grows old, you might wanna buckle up, if the ticket sales continue on their current path, a third Deadpool film is likely to be made.
Deadpool 2 will be in theaters may 18.
