Freestyle Digital Media has announced the theatrical and digital release of Clone Cops, a sci-fi action comedy and the feature directorial debut of Danny Dones. The film, a high-energy blend of futuristic satire and campy humor, explores a dystopian future where a gang of outlaws battles a disposable, lab-created police force programmed for violence.
Opening in theaters on Friday, January 31, Clone Cops will screen in Los Angeles at Laemmle Glendale, in New York City at Stuart Cinema & Café, and in Nashville at Malco Smyrna Cinema for a weeklong run. Simultaneously, the film will be available to rent or purchase on major VOD platforms across North America, including Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home.
Directed by Danny Dones and co-written with Phillip Cordell, the film brings a vibrant mix of action, humor, and nostalgia, drawing inspiration from 1980s sci-fi and video game culture. Produced in Nashville by Charles Royce, Nate Eggert, and Cordell under the HiPhi Productions banner, the film showcases a talented ensemble cast. Notable performances include Phillip Cordell, Ravi Patel, Quinnlan Ashe, Steve Byrne, and Ted Welch, along with a host of emerging talent.
In Clone Cops, the protagonists face relentless waves of cloned enforcers while uncovering shocking secrets about their own identities and the forces they are up against. The movie promises a wild, tech-infused narrative paired with a comic-book aesthetic and nonstop action.
