Daredevil Season 1 Showrunner Would Be Up For Tackling Moon Knight Series
Pacific Rim Uprising director Steven S. DeKnight is making the rounds in light of his new film hitting theaters this weekend. Though while he has made the jump from TV to big-budget filmmaking, we can’t forget that he’s brought some amazing television to us in the past.
He’s responsible for Spartacus, and Marvel fans will especially love to hear that he was the showrunner for Season 1 of the Marvel/Netflix show, Daredevil. Not only did it feature 13 amazing and grounded episodes of storytelling, but it helped to launch the Netflix world that is still going to this day. But what other Marvel characters would he love to take on in a series?

DeKnight told the following to IGN:
“I wouldn’t mind taking a crack at Moon Knight at some point. There are so many characters that I love in the Marvel universe. Really, for me, it would be about schedule. My schedule these days, as you imagine, is a little tight. God, you know, when I signed onto Daredevil, I expressed an interest in Iron Fist and the Punisher, which I both loved. I’d love to see Moon Knight get a little bit of love. Great, great character.”
While not incredibly well known to mainstream audiences, Moon Knight is definitely a beloved character to comic book fans. The superhero’s alter ego is former CIA operative Marc Specter. After being resurrected by the ancient Egyptian moon god Konshu, he becomes something of an instrument of vengeance. He’s given enhanced strength and said power only gets stronger during a full moon.
He’s certainly a bit of an outlandish character, but he’s one that would be well-fitted to the Netflix world. Plus, DeKnight has stated that he’s watched and loved all the Netflix series so far, so you know he’d find a way to fit him in well.
