Everyone is going to scream for the Ice Cream Man.
Eli Roth’s horror-comedy Ice Cream Man arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on October 20. That gives horror fans a physical copy in time for Halloween. The film is already available to buy or rent digitally.
A mysterious ice cream man rolls into a quiet small town and hands out sweets to the local children. The treats set off a strange, violent madness in the kids, who go on a more and more unhinged killing spree. As the town falls into chaos, it becomes clear something much darker is going on. Snoop Dogg contributed original music to the film.
Roth, known for Hostel, Cabin Fever, and Thanksgiving, directed the film and co-wrote it with Noah Belson. It’s one of the first releases from The Horror Section, Roth’s new horror label, which made the film with Media Capital Technologies on a reported budget of about $5.5 million.
The cast includes Ari Millen (Orphan Black), Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, and Eli Roth.

Filming took place in Hamilton, Ontario, in summer 2025 and wrapped in September. Some virtual production work was done at Dark Slope Studios in Toronto.
Ice Cream Man opened briefly in late summer and earned roughly $6 million worldwide, just above its production budget by the end of August. It went to digital platforms on August 31.
The film had a rough reception. It holds a 27% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 34 on Metacritic, and critics faulted its tone and humor. It also drew attention after Roth confirmed that generative AI had been used in some scenes. Still, horror comedies often find a second life on home video, and this release gives viewers who skipped the theatrical run a chance to decide for themselves.
Ice Cream Man will be available in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
