Recently we heard that actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who have been dating for quite sometime, were now engaged. Not long after that announcement came word that the production of the eighth season of Game of Thrones would briefly come to a halt for the couple’s wedding, as Harington and Leslie would like the cast and crew to be in attendance. Today we find out that, in true Game of Thrones fashion, Harington and Leslie are distantly related, as a tweet by user Sophie WilkINson, claims both Harington and Leslie are descendants of King Charles II. Since the end of the very first episode of the show, fans have known that keeping it in the family is a common theme in the show. Some of you may think this is a clever ruse by a fan of the show, but it seems the information was backed up by Ancestry.com. Of course, given how distant the two really are, it’s obviously no big deal, but just a fun little tidbit, in case you were in need of more.
