We have a release date revealed for Game of Thrones movie spin-off Aegon’s Conquest. The first movie in the Game of Thrones franchise from WB will focus on Aegon (Targaryen) the Conqueror as he uses his dragons to unite the Seven Kingdom’s of Westeros.
Well, you can now watch this movie on June 1, 2029.

‘“Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest” will hit theaters on June 1, 2029, Warner Bros. announced Tuesday. The film is helmed by Owen Harris, who previously directed three episodes of “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” (including the action-packed episode featuring the Trial of Seven).’

I’m not sure about this one if I’m honest. How can they pull off this story in under three hours? I love the idea of movie special effects bringing Balerion the Dread to life. After all, the TV series have always teased how large he was. Yet, there’s also something about fantasy where having an untold history adds character to the main story, but doesn’t always make for a good story in itself.
This of course will largely depend on how good the script, the casting and the director all are. Luckily I really like the writer and director on this one. Let’s face it, I’ll see you in theatres June 1, 2029. As always, leave any thoughts below.
