James Gunn: Rumor Killer- Director Humorously Responds To Guardians Prequel Series Rumor
James Gunn Responds To Guardians Prequel Series Rumor On Twitter
Look, being in the entertainment reporting business is not easy these days. The internet makes it really, really hard to put out sketchy information and not get called out for it. Nothing exposes this aspect more than James Gunn: Rumor Killer. The director has a history of responding to rumors online via Twitter and something from @Moth_Culture caught his eye the other day:
RUMOR: Disney+ Guardians of The Galaxy prequel series focuses on Gamora’s family-like relationship with Nebula and Thanos. pic.twitter.com/gCtxLs87ub

Bad Rumors
First, we all know that Disney would definitely make more Guardians stuff without Gunn. They love money and milking properties dry. However, not many people would be WILLING to make a Guardians prequel series for Disney, or so we hope. Even more ridiculous is the idea that we’d get Thanos, Gamora, and Nebula in a Guardians of The Galaxy prequel series! Everyone knows, it’d be early Rocket and Groot. Look, it’s Disney, again, so never say never, but the likelihood of this is like that of getting a GOOD Terminator sequel. Anyways, Gunn responded with the following tweet:
lol no – he tortured them, not exactly a “family-like” relationship https://t.co/3t9QzzOrch

Classic Gunn! He’s always there, lurking in the interwebs, just waiting to entertain us and keep us honest. Us being the audience and the reporters, leakers, and reviewers. LRM Online and The GenreVerse do our best to only deliver scoops that we feel solid about, that come from a real and trusted source, and are (now) unlikely to change. That whole thing with The Mandalorian Season 2 trailer was as simple as a button push, we swear!
Trying To Be Better
I know, I know, @Moth_Culture could have heard something from a source that was once right, or they heard something that was water cooler talk and ran with it. Or they wanted to get attention because, as many YouTubers have shown us, hate clicks make money too. See, I gave the benefit of the doubt and my personal opinion here. That’s integrity or something. But seriously, even the best in the game get bad info from time to time, and those that have one miss for every ten or so hits, should be shown some slack. As for those with one hit for every 10 misses, well, you decide.
