As production continues on the highly anticipated sequel to last year’s horror blockbuster remake, one of its main stars has finished her work on the project. Jessica Chastain has wrapped up her scenes in It: Chapter 2. The Academy Award nominee announced that she had completed her scenes via her Instagram account (in her stories section, so it’s hard to link here). She will be playing grown-up Beverly Marsh in the sequel. Check out a photo between her and younger version Sophia Lillis.
The sequel to 2017’s hit It will take place years after the first film, with the young children victims having grown up but still scarred by the events of the first film. The second chapter is again written by Gary Dauberman (Annabelle, The Nun), based off the Stephen King novel, and will also have Andy Muschietti (Mama) once again in the director’s chair.

The film went on to make over $700 million worldwide, making it the highest grossing horror film of all time. James McAvoy, Bill Hader, and Jay Ryan will be joining Chastain in the film.
With numerous small roles early in her career, Chastain made a name for herself when she earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her work on The Help. She would follow that up with a Best Actress nomination a year later with her role as a CIA operative tasked with finding the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden in Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty.
