John Cena Loved The Knight Rider Script

With the Roseanne revival already being renewed for a new season past the one that is currently airing, it doesn’t seem as if bringing back shows in some form or another is going away anytime soon. Former WWE champion John Cena has been linked to retro reboot, that being a big screen adaptation of the popular 80s series, Knight Rider. Cena recently spoke with ScreenRant and gave an update on the film.

“Ehhhh, once again it takes a miracle to make a movie nowadays. It is still in the works and hopefully, it will come to fruition because the draft I read of it… I thought it was amazing.”

Aside from saying the project is still in the process, Cena’s words don’t exactly convey confidence in the film being made anytime soon. During the interview, Cena also confirmed the script has a more comedic tone, which makes sense because Kevin Hart is also supposedly attached to the film.

About 10 years ago, the show received a network TV reboot that was short lived. The lead character was the son of David Hasselhoff’s Michael Knight from the original 80s series. The series was canceled after 17 episodes.
