Jurassic World 2: Go Behind The Scenes With Jurassic Journals

I love me some behind-the-scenes. Growing up in the ’90s, I would devour pretty much any extra info that somehow made its way on the VHS copies of movies (like the Leonard Maltin interviews with George Lucas on those Star Wars VHS tapes). Then came the world of DVD extras, and around that same time, behind-the-scenes web shorts took off.

Honestly, in the age of secrecy, it’s something that seems to have fallen out of favor. Now, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom seems to be the next big film to take advantage of this. As of this writing, they have released two “Jurassic Journals.”

The is one with stars Chris Pratt, Daniella Pineda, and Justice Smith. The trio takes a trip down memory lane, remembering the first time they watched Jurassic Park. I’m sure we all have our stories. Personally, I wasn’t allowed to see it in theaters and didn’t get a chance until some kid brought over a VHS copy of it at some party. Yeah, I was pretty much the happiest kid ever.

The second journal shows Pratt with his makeup artist, where they go over the reason behind needing to apply dirt as makeup. It’s nothing super new and unique if you’re more than familiar with the overall process, but the silver lining here is that you get to see the friendly dynamic between her and Pratt.

Let’s hope the next journals are a little bit meatier!
