A live-action adaptation of Chip n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers will reportedly begin shooting next spring. Details on the story are scarce but it reportedly will not be an origin story.. Akiva Schaffer is lined up to direct the film. Original voice actors Tress MacNeille, Corey Burton, and Jim Cummings are rumored to be returning to again lend their voices to Chip, Dale, Gadget, and Monterey Jack. However, their return has not been confirmed.

I enjoyed the adventures of the Rescue Rangers, however, I’m not feeling great about this live-action project. I know, I know. It’s incredibly earlier to be saying that, especially not having seen any footage and not knowing anything about the story. Admittedly, it’s just a feeling I have, and I hope I am wrong.
Disney used to have a kick-ass after-school lineup that along with Chip n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers, included Ducktales, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck, among others. Uncle Scrooge and his nephews and Batduck were my favorites. I’ve included what I think is a pretty cool cover version of the Chip n’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers theme song that you can check out below.
